Welcome to my Transport Workers Union

Rock Throwers Need to be Brought to Justice

The Transport Workers Union has called for any person caught throwing rocks at buses to be dealt with quickly by Police and the Courts.

The Transport Workers Union has called for any person caught throwing rocks at buses to be dealt with quickly by Police and the Courts.

This follows 4 attacks on buses in the Campbelltown area over the last 2 days which has resulted to damage to buses and has placed the drivers at risk of serious injury.

TWU State Secretary Tony Sheldon: “Any person who throws rocks at a vehicle should be dealt with by the full force of the law.

“There is no doubt that throwing rocks has the potential to kill and
seriously injure drivers and passengers.

“Bus drivers provide an extremely important service to the community
each and every day, and they should not have to come to work each day with the fear that they may be seriously injured by criminal behaviour.”

The Transport Workers Union will be holding a Press Conference
at 12.00pm today at the Busway’s Depot, 33 College St,
Campbelltown. TWU Bus Official Darcy Waller will be available for
comment.
